But can't the same be said for science and your proclaiming it to be correct? You say science is correct because other things that science calls a fact says it is right. Is that not a fancy way of saying science is correct because science says it is?

The main difference between science and faith-religions is that science is self-correcting, and religion cannot or won't be self-correcting. Science proceeds by TESTABLE statements, and religion does not proceed at all because all it's statements are simply believed ''as is'', even if there is evidence to the contrary.
